Arizona counsel for eminent domain, valuation disputes, property acquisition, rights-of-way, land use, zoning, and real-property litigation.
Russell “Rusty” Rea is of counsel to the firm, specializing in eminent domain, real estate valuation and acquisition, easements and rights-of-way, land use and zoning, water rights, and related real-estate, commercial, and personal-injury defense litigation.
Rusty has extensive experience counseling individuals as well as private and governmental entities through both litigation and pre-litigation property matters. His work spans Arizona state and federal courts, private arbitration proceedings, and the practical counseling that often shapes acquisition and valuation strategy before a formal dispute begins.
Before joining his prior firm in early 2016, Rusty spent more than fifteen years with Jennings Strouss & Salmon, including fourteen years as a member in Jennings’ Phoenix office. Earlier in his career, he practiced with a boutique litigation firm and also served more than five years as a prosecutor with both the City of Phoenix Prosecutor’s Office and the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, where he developed extensive courtroom and trial experience.
Since January 2016, Rusty has also served as General Counsel for the Roosevelt Water Conservation District. That in-house perspective gives him a practical understanding of how acquisition, infrastructure, land-use, and water-related decisions affect clients beyond the immediate dispute.
Representative ExperienceRusty’s practice is built for valuation, access, infrastructure, and eminent-domain matters where legal strategy and project economics intersect.
